May the 4th be with you! A check in with me.

Hey Guys,
So sorry it has been so long, I’ve been busy - I swear!

Since my last blog, I’ve graduated from Uni (with Distinction may I add), had Christmas with my family, started and almost completed a new internship, canceled every flight, accommodation, and activity for my European holiday (meant to leave next week) and basically just tried to get through isolation.
It’s been a year this last 3 months, let me tell ya.
The world has come to a holt and although it’s been terrifying and uncertain, I have realised a few things 2 months in.
There is a beauty within slowing down. A family friend put on his Facebook that this virus is the world’s way of showing us that life is meant to be simpler. You don’t have to be ridiculously rich, you don’t need to be out every night, family time is so precious and of course, children should be playing outside or with board games rather than on iPads or PlayStation (or Xbox, what have you).
I am blessed to live in Australia with a backyard to go to and enough space to walk my dogs. I remember this every day because I know there are others out there less fortunate.
But enough of Corona talk. This read is meant to be a short and sweet check-in. Just a catch up on my movements and plans really.
My hope for this blog was to be travel focused in the year 2020. I had booked to go all over Europe in May/June, and I had booked to go to NYC, LA, and Vegas in September. This has been flipped on its head (obviously) and it has thrown my plans for my content creation. This is why you have not heard from me here - I am sorry!
I have always been super passionate about travel. I find a sense of fulfillment when embracing other cultures and landscapes.
When I got home from my third trip to Bali last June, I had a flood of ideas on what I could do with my blog and my Instagram. Knowing I was going to take myself to Europe in 2020, I thought “how great I’m going to have so much to write about”. So while we wait for 2021’s exciting year of content, you’ll probably hear me talk of my other passions; fashion, digital marketing, and lifestyle.
I hope this is acceptable.
To say I was disappointed about having to cancel my trip is an understatement. Shattered is perhaps the better term to use here.
However, I have accepted this well and truly. It means I can save more money, my partner can finish his apprenticeship and we can make our original 5-week trip into 7 or 8 weeks.
This mean’s even more content for you to visually enjoy and travel insights for you to read. YAY!
Thanks for reading, I hope you feel all caught up!
